My Rubboards are finished the old fashioned way, the way we have been doing it since 1946,by rubbing the edges with a finishing stone. Then I buff out the edges with scuffing pads for a nice clean smooth edge.

I love my new Pro/custom 22

I’ve been playing on my new washboard and I love how it sits on my shoulders and the warmth of the sound as well as being able to get a variety of timbres from it depending on where I play.

We've been using a 24

We've been using a 24 gauge galvanized board for years and just replaced it with the Pro/Custom 22 gauge board. The tone is way better--tight and focused--and it projects more. The rolled edge trim makes it a lot more comfortable too. Tee Don got it here quick, just a couple days from when I ordered it. It came with two churchkeys for scratchers, but our rubboard player is used to playing with spoons, so she's been using those instead. Sounds great with them too. Proud to own a little piece of true American music history!
