Next year, many folks will celebrate their 80th Anniversary (1946-2026) of creating authentic, unique, and Original Cajun American Musical Instruments. You know they are doing something right when they have genuine representation in the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History. On a related note, 2025 is the 20th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina hitting Louisiana, and more than 80,000 folks came here to ATLANTA: City of Peace because we're a City of Refuge. I have often wondered how many of them folks brought their Cajun Musical Instruments that were made by Tee Don and his daddy, Mister Willie Landry. It was Mister Landry who, in 1946, made the first rubboard (Frottoir) for Clifton Chenier, who later became known as the "King of Zydeco!"
